AUBURN STATE RECREATION AREA

Over 100 miles horse trails wind through the steep American River canyons and along the North and Middle Forks of the American River. The most famous trail is the Western States Trail which runs 100 miles from Lake Tahoe to Auburn. The address is for the Ranger’s Station on Hwy 49. There is a parking fee of $10 or use you annual Poppy Pass.

Auburn Municipal Airport is a public airport located three miles north of Auburn, serving Placer County, California, USA. The airport is mostly used for general aviation. The City of Auburn owns and operates the airport. The federal government built the airport in 1934 and used it to support mail service until 1946.
